Random Informant: CLAS means College of Liberal Arts and Science; it's the main campus/school at UVA.
ajnrules: CLAS is College of [Liberal] Arts and Sciences, the largest undergraduate school at UVA. Others include SEAS (the engineering school) and the architecture school. Applicants usually apply for one of the schools and choose their majors from within the program.
